Realme 7 Review 2020: Is it Worth Buying?

The Realme 7 smartphone comes with three major upgrades on the Realme 6. The upgrades include a new primary camera sensor, a new SoC, and a bigger battery. More so, it is equipped with a sleek mirror-split design with several patterns that come to effect when light is directed at it.

Additionally, the Realme 7 retains the MediaTek for its SoC but made an upgrade to Helio G95. The Helio G95 is the MediaTek’s latest mid-range chip and comes with a more improved graphics performance compared to the older Helio G90T. 

Unlike the Realme 6, this device is thicker with a thickness of 9.4mm and a weight of 196.5g and this is due to its larger battery. More so, it retains its four Cortex-A76 cores and features a 900MHz GPU. Thanks to its 128GB UFS storage and 8GB LPDDR4X RAM, the Realme 7 can seamlessly navigate through games and other apps.

In terms of display, the Realme 7 features a 6.5-inches AMOLED display with an aspect ratio of 20:9. As a result, the large display does not seem wide while in your hands. As with the Realme 6, the Realme 7 is equipped with a Full HD+ LCD having a refresh rate of 90Hz and a touch sampling rate of 180Hz. The improved refresh rate makes scrolling smoother and faster.

That said, the Realme 7 comes with the HDR10 that allows users to see supported content both YouTube and several other OTT platforms. It also supports Widevine L1 which is a feature that allows you to watch HD Prime and Netflix video.

Furthermore, the Realme 7 features a 64-megapixel camera with a dimension of 1/1.73-inches. Also, the 64MP mode makes the color and other features of the Realme 7 stand out.

When it comes to battery life, the Realme 7 comes with a 5000mAh battery. Even more, it has a fast-charging feature that helps in charging the battery quickly. It has a 30W Dart Charging feature that allows you to charge your battery fully in just an hour. 

Furthermore, the Realme 7 uses the trademark Realme UI and runs on Android 10. Its side-mounted fingerprint sensor and face recognition feature also works seamlessly.

The Realme 7 device is also capable of recording 4K videos reaching up to about 30 fps. The videos are sharp with a reasonable color profile and graphic quality. This device is capable of competing with some of the best devices available in terms of shooting quality.

That said, the Realme 7 boasts of an exceptional 16-megapixel front camera hence capable of boosting colors and capturing several details. It is also worth mentioning that Realme 7 is a great gaming device too. At its highest graphics resolution, the Battle prime game worked smoothly.
